The bloody battle of battle Royal

battle royal by koushun takami. Ohta Shuppan 1999     genre: fiction

in the story battle royal there is a very compelling twist that another popular book called the hunger games followed and the book that did the original book was called battle and this book is the r rated blood fest cousin of the hunger game series and the plot is that there  is a game that is held by the Easter Asia government and they knock out the class and the whole class awakes in there class room and they find a metal collar on there necks and a mysterious man comes in and tells them this is a death game that's all I will tel you because I don't want to spoil it

f i have never read any books by koushun takami but i really like his descriptive and accurate writing style and but accurate i mean the characters acted as i would have acted if placed in there situation though the book is a very fun and dark book the first though i had about the book was that it was like the hunger games but it was actually written before it.

here is a quote from the book its is found on page 367 “W-what do you mean, you’re fine either way?”

Kazuo lifted his chin and pointed it at the night sky, as if he were stretching out his neck. The moon shone brightly and cast a gloomy shadow on Kazuo’s well-defined face. He kept this pose and said, “I sometimes lose track of what’s right and wrong.”

Mitsuru was even more confused. That was when an entirely different thought occurred to him. Something was missing.

And then he realized what it was.

my personal opinion on the book is that it is maybe the second best book i read or maybe even the first i loved the book being a lover of dark survivel stories like gary paulsons "hatchet" seris and the hunger gamaes i loved the book even more than hunger games it was the r rated vson oh yeah they have a manga adaptation i would really check it out.

i give the book a 4 out of five the book is very descriptive and violent and gory but to me personally i give it a 5 out of 5
